#MOJAFestival2014 Events Im "hoping to attend" - Full schedule links included #MOJAFestival

I took the time to compile a one stop list.. as well as highlight some of my hope-to-attends

The Arts > Performing > MOJA Arts Festivall

The word “moja” translates to the word “one” in Swahili. No term is more fitting for the MOJA Festival, going on its 31st year this fall, which focuses on celebrating African and Caribbean Arts, along with the harmony that connects us all within our community.

Presented by the City of Charleston’s Office of Cultural Affairs, this 10-day festival features a variety of Caribbean and African-American artists whose contributions have helped shape western culture, as well the cultures of the rest of the world.

Events held during the festival range from visual and performing arts such as jazz and dance, to theatre and storytelling. There will also be special events for children, along with ethnic food and traditional craft activities.

Many of MOJA’s events are free and open to the public, and the remaining ticketed options are always affordable. An especially exciting event at this year’s festival features 83-year-old modern dance pioneer Carmen de Lavallade, who will be presenting her solo performance memoir, “As I Remember It.”

Come to find out... Yeah I do that!!!! LOL ...

Sometimes I do what I do and I dont even know what I do BUT I get it done!!!!!
Then a little birdy Erica Michelle Alcox ... Thanks for teaching me about me) asked me a question ....

Come to find out... Yeah I do that!!!! LOL ...

Let's put it this way... it boils down to RETWEET by the RIGHT entity... and always having YOUR product show up on the first page of a Google search!!!

Like she said one day .. @msbjpeart Your ReTweet game is TIGHT!!!!

Just because the body is trippin'; trust and believe .. my mind.. it's following the after effects of every click...

Every upload .. metadata included... it's not what's on the file as much as what is "in" the file.

We share information on a daily.. when you learn how to.. on applies these lessons.

I documents the current times and events.. seasons and weather conditions...

I find it every interesting that Wikipedia is asking for photographic submission for documenting our history as well as Google asking for permission to include pics which are geo-tagged.

Heak yeah I pay attention to the details of the photograph.. I always knew my work wasnt really for the eyes of today, but rather for those who have yet to come!!!

I come by it well.. Midwood High School and Temple University YEARBOOK!!!
I document the times... someone called me a Visual Griot.. I'm humbled. 1

Never be scared to speak up.. someone just might be listening.

Speaking straight off da cuff.. no chaser is simple for me.
I dont like much frilly fro fro in my life or language.
What I have found is that blatant honesty is not always acceptable.
There are some who would much prefer that you lie to their faces and fabricate a fraudulent lifestyle.
This is ME.. no need for me dress it up because the speech is going to be the same.
As DMcD says "differently abled"
Though I do have some public obligations, I do have time to explore, share and appreciate the company of another.
I dont need for whomsoever to pay any bills.. Ive got that covered. I live within my means.
Hair and nails.. he doesn't have to stress..
His concern should be communication and companionship.
Straight from the heart and filled with spirit.
Now I know there are folks saying "what the hell"...
As it stands maturing has quieted me some but not entirely. Lol
You see something in life you go after it.
I havent seen much yet I can say Ive seen one BUT he's separated.. in my mind that means married.. so no bueno.
As for the other.. Bless their hearts.. wonderfully young. . BUT spreading legs just to spread legs aint my thing.
I require mental stimulation. Great conversation.. walks.. rides.. time... possibly even weird stuff. Lol
I mean damn, they say not to covet.. I may not covet the actual person but the scenario.. and they also said you never know what going on behind closed doors.
49 and half.. half a century and its a damn shame I have yet to be in a mutual loving relationship.
I guess some of us have to wait for that good good.
Trust me I have no fear in speaking my mind. Patience Ive got.. and yes I put the work in.
There's got to be an Alpha who doesn't fear my larger than life personality because if he's the right one ... I'll be purring like a kitten.
Time will tell.
Never be scared to speak up.. someone just might be listening.

Is it so hard to love one another???

I dont know if in my lifetime there will be worldwide global peace...
even if it begins with a day of no one anywhere being killed or getting the crap beat out of them.
Is it so hard to love one another???
Are we as members of the Human Race capable of sharing, loving and being with each other as brothers and sisters no matter race, creed or fellowship status???
I am capable of such naivety because LOVE .. universal agape love is paramount in my life..
Loving another has nothing to do with being in love.. it simply means that I have care and concern for other human beings who walk this earth..
We have to begin with the words out of our mouths and as the song says the meditations of our hearts.
There has to be love within and around us all...
I continue to pray and actively love my fellow humans beings.. the world is lonely enough...

#LoveHimFromADistance

Domestic Abuse is NOT to be tolerated whether you're a public figure or 'round the way excuse of a person. . (I put it this way bcs many of both sexes dont know how to keep their hands to themselves)

I wont fault TMZ .. they dig up stuff.. Yellow Journalism.. if it wasnt there for them to pay the price for it.. we wouldnt know the full truth.

Now as to the then traumatized girl friend turned wife and her forgiveness.. let's really look at this..

Have either of them sought help??

Forgiveness doesnt always mean that common sense has set in..

What are his triggers?
They let him slide claiming this was a first incident.

HELL NO IT WASN'T AND COULDN'T HAVE BEEN!!

His actions (no I didnt watch the video.. I dont need the flashbacks.. the posts and comments alone are rough to deal with) are those of one who has been able to get away with this for a long time.

An insecure bully doesn't materialize overnight.

It's sad that when one doesnt have control over their lives they are capable of destroying the lives of many.

I have no sympathy for either one.

You cannot be in the spotlight .. do a woman you claim to love like that and expect the world to accept you.

Professional athletes are finally being dealt with as human beings and not G-ds walking the earth.

Enough is enough.

Hopefully he has a degree.. can go get a job, start a business and get on with their lives.

They aren't the first and won't be the last.

Battered Woman Syndrome is a bitch. #LoveHimFromADistance

Trust me.. been there done that.. Im alive.. inside and out.. is she?

Every time his voices raises. . She'll flinch.. his hand moves a certain way in the air.. she'll hold her breath.. he looks at her.. she'll lower her eyes.. he goes to touch her.. she'll cringe..

She can't be happy.
$$$$$$ aint gonna make a difference.. they're both sad inside.

I hope they receive a lot of counselling because all hell is breaking loose in their lives right now!!
