I'm not as evolved as some... I will always have a foot in the streets and one skating around wherever. I know what keeps me grounded.

Above, Below... y'all don't get it.. they made sure they gave me a Zarabanda chain and Olokun.... so yes... I stay working at MY SPIRITUAL BALANCE 

I've known many who have taken their "street smarts" and "flipped it" into the mainstream and are still able to sleep at night.

Many an industry began in streets of the world.

Whether it be liquor, weed, crack, coke, pills ... empires have been built by by those who knew when to get out the game.

Some learned the basics of BUSINESS and simply applied it to another product.
Im no Angel and I aint gone be no Saint but I won't pretend to be blind in this world.

I have witnessed the lives of many who have gone through the darkside of things as well as seen the light and used the same skill set to have successful businesses and are able to feed their families.

When I run into young whipper snappers who dont understand a few basic codes:

Your word is your Bond.
Phuq your personal opinion, that custy keeps $$$ in your pocket.

See I can speak on these things because I walk that fine line, always will.
I flow anywhere, with anyone. Been on this earth to long to be afraid of my own shadow to worry about what your's might do to me. Im all about living.

Some of the greatest lessons in life come from those who you would never imagine would teach you a thing or two unless you had given them that chance.

Im not glorifying anything.

I see folks who genuinely want to make a difference in their lives and the lives of those around them, then I see knuckle heads who just aint never gone get nowhere no matter how much their Mama and GrandMama prays.

That One.. male or female... hard as hell but always looking out... bring a smile to a custy's face just by acknowledging their presence and it not being about "damn why you ain't spending money with me". They succeed in the "Real World".

Customer Service goes a long way... even in the streets.

Im a firm believer in the evolving spirit of a person. We all have circumstances that we've been through, It's how we came over that counts...

So recognize the talents of the one who mystifies you... if you spot talent and genius, take a part in their lives and steer them towards a goal that is supported by society.

Assimilation and Accreditation are techniques to be utilized by all.

The key thing about life... throw all your freaking cards on the table and play the hell out of it. Speaking the TRUTH at all times, is much better than ever having to worry about cleaning up a lie.

Forge Ahead, cause looking over your shoulder aint getting you too far into the future.

I live my life openly and honestly. If I dont sleep at night, it's not because of guilt.

Dang... its been over an hour messing with this post.
The weather has changed and the pain in my neck and arms dictate that I get the heck out of here...

You know it's sad when you really realize that you have loved someone until the death of them. The Most High has a way of giving you some measure of balance to things if you are paying attention.

Later on this evening, the cremated remains of our daughter's Father will be eulogized. He wanted a big party and Im sure they will do him justice tonight...

We were blessed with 25 years of shared parenthood.
We knew our strengths and weaknesses. We stayed our of each other's way.

It was at times comical and nerve wracking over the years as they went head to head. I could only imagine the moments when she displayed the traits and mannerisms lovingly cultivated in her youth by ME..... 

"Wally", Arthur W. Smith to the rest of the world.. was my friend, from the age of 17.
Im the Pisces, he the Virgo. I was and remain, the quiet side of his life.
He didnt read poetry with everyone. LOL

Our spiritual link never subsided, our respect for each other was quite well maintained over the years. He has always been in my heart.
I don't worry about missing you. You were tired and so ready. 
Forever my friend, always my love and a true partner in parenthood. He did his thing... I did mine.

One of the true lights of consciousness of the world. Though the US African American community claims Mama Maya as their own.. she is internationally loved and known.

Oh I hear dem drums...

Thats gonna be a homegoing celebration to be remembered.

Oprah and Quincy better do what it do.

Yet something tells me Mama Maya was like my Mama .... every detail already covered.

She served human kind so well.

Mothers are notorious for accepting what you give them without complaints.

Mothers are notorious for hiding what their issues are.

Mothers are notorious for not letting you know that they are behind on a few things.

Mothers are human beings as well. So as much as you have your plans for Mother's Day.... please include Your Mother in your plans.

Yes, Im a member of the Motherless Child Club... it happens.. for those who have their Moms or Mother figures in your lives...

ASK THEM WHAT THEY HONESTLY WANT in addition to all the stuff you want to load them up with, LOL

Trust me... Im getting older... I see things...

The average Mother's children, grandchildren, spouse, relatives, job, church, sorority and so on comes before their own personal needs...... Hook Mom Up!!! :-D
