UMOJA 2014 - Charleston Lowcountry Kwanzaa - Robert L. Small Tribute





UMOJA (Unity) ... the village gathered to honor their own Ancestor Elder Thomas Benson as well as LIVING LEGEND Robert Small shown here in cover pic with longtime Charleston Lowcountry Kwanzaa Planning Committee Chairperson Sara Jane Nesbit. The program was officiated byThe Roots Music Karamu's Osei Terry Chandler!!
The Kwanzaa principles as present in the life of Bob Small was presented by those whose lives he has touched .. in his travels as African Drummer, Journalist most recently at The Charleston ChroniclePenn CenterWorker, Soccer Coach at Ebony City Soccer Club, integral part ofLowcountry Kwanzaa, and Charleston Middle Passage Remembrance Program not the least of which is Tour Guide and Gullah Storyteller atBoone Hall Plantation among many other accolades.
